In 2001, 9808 calls were recorded by the Womens Aid National Freephone Helpline.

Information is collated and the calls are analysed to give as full a picture as possible of the types of issues which are presenting on the Womens Aid Helpline. Data is available under the following headings:

• Type of call (abuse, financial advice, depressed, etc

• Referral (advice/information caller was given)

• Caller Profile (gender, age, relationship status)

• Abuse Information (the relationship of the abuser to the caller, type of abuse caller subjected to)

• Location of caller

• Time of call

In 1999, 8,345 calls were recorded by the Womens Aid National Freephone Helpline.
