All women have handbags… in fact, most of us can’t be without our handbags! Not only do we carry our lives around in them, the bag is the one item of glamour that anyone can have – no matter your age, size or shape – there’s one to suit all! For some women finding the right bag is like meeting the ONE!

The Women’s Aid Heavenly Handbag Lunch at one of Dublin’s finest restaurants, the Michelin-starred l’Ecrivain, will take place in January 2009

A Champagne reception on arrival will be followed by the best of Irish food prepared by Master Chef Derry Clarke. Prizes include this season’s must-have handbags, as well as weekend breaks and treatments.

Tickets for this very special event, cost €150.00 per person or tables of 10 for €1500.00 and we encourage you all to sport your most heavenly handbags!

The main purpose of this event is to help raise much needed funds for the Women’s Aid National Freephone Domestic Violence Helpline. Open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, this helpline provides support and information to thousands of women suffering in their own homes, every year.

For the one in five Irish women affected by domestic violence, their own home is the most dangerous place for them to be.

For those fleeing domestic violence, their handbag may be the only thing they take with them, if they are lucky….
